FROM INVENTION TO INNOVATION
The company was founded in the early 1980s thanks to the innovative inventions of Roberto Barbieri. During this period, the company developed a pedicure tool with interchangeable blades. This revolutionary tool in professional podiatry allowed the application of different blades on the same handle. This solution eliminated the need to sterilize the blades, allowing the podiatrist to apply a new blade for each client.
The tool was so well received that Mr. Barbieri presented it at the most important industry trade shows not only in Italy but also in Europe. In 2011, PODO was taken over by his son Giuseppe, who, together with his wife, updated it and adapted it to modern market needs.

PODO is the creator of the Universal Handle, the first handle with interchangeable blades. A solution that allows for the application of a new blade, selectable from seven models (00, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 3.5, and 4), sterile and suitable for different procedures.
